I used a relay and a switch. The wires are all tuck up and secured.

    It's a never ending $100-$200 a week thing & still going.
I used a relay and pulled power from the battery with an air on board switch to turn them on. I didn't want them to come on every time I used reverse only when I needed them.

Where did you find those lights? They kind of look like my Blitzpro's that you can't buy anymore

Not a fan of reverse lights mounted below or in the bumper. You run the risk of them being damaged when off-roading or getting rear-ended.

This look just like the ones I bought... I could be wrong though.
But these are the ones I got.

All I did was splice them into my reverse lights so they would come on and off when I reverse. Makes a huge difference :)

You be thinking about a ton of shit. Then it will sink in that you have to pay out of pocket for some lights that you added to your truck.

Dunno about you, but when being rear ended, typically not my fault, and someone else's insurance is paying me for them. I've been in wrecks where aftermarket gear was damaged, never once had a problem getting it replaced.

    For fuck sakes...

... and I suppose your truck is stripped naked and sitting in a bunker somewhere? Because, after all, 'what if' ??

So I guess I shouldn't have put all that shit on my truck just in case I roll it over, get t-boned, or get hit by a flying fucking unicorn?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and... How the fuck did this thread get side-railed into a rear end collision scenario?

(Hey, OP, you shouldn't have started this thread because, after all, it might be thread jacked and go off topic.)

I am looking at doing this same mod. How nerve raking was for you to cut your bumper?

Measure once, twice, outline the opening with painter's tape. Back off and look at it, measure 2-3 more times. Then get up the nerve to breakout the cut-off wheel. Once you make the first nick in the bumper with the tool, all the nerves go away and you just finish the job properly.

Then you find out you are about 1/4" too close to one of the bumper braces to get any normal wrench on the back of 2 of the mounting bolts. Have a "d'oh" moment, think about it for a few minutes, cut a sacrificial box wrench in half, thank the maker that you were blessed with smaller hands and get the job completed. Stand back, and admire your work.

How did the paint hold up? was there any touch ups needed?
