So the dealer diagnosed my problem, the water is leaking around the cab vents. This has created mold in the carpet, water is in the floorboard frame and rusted the bolts. It has been leaking since I bought this truck 6 months ago. Today it's pouring down rain and I went out there and checked and sure enough, the truck is full of water. I'm going to file a complaint with Toyota corporation. I can't believe these stupid IMG20241119084446.jpg vents don't fit the opening correctly and they leak. This is a design flaw by Toyota or a part malfunction. You can see the quarter inch all the way around the vent that is allowing the water to seep in. It just makes me sick

Assuming it's long since out of warranty, it looks like an easy fix..

Edit to note: If the pic is depicting a 1/4" gap all the way around the vent as stated, I sure can't see it.

I wonder if this will become a recall, same thing happened to my truck, had to fight insurance and they have a mold exclusion, toyota corporate essentially told me to pound sand since the truck was old and out of warranty, don't see how something like that fails often enough but isn't a manufacturer defect of some sort.

I also had the 3rd brake light leak, had to pay out of pocket as i was told "not part of the recall" and then a year or two later lo and behold i was suddenly part of the affected VINs
