Backseat removed. LF storage ideas.

Spoken like a single man. Seriously, many women want to take their entire wardrobe on a trip to the grocery store.

 

It's very easy.

Remove the rear seat and all the components.

Cut a 2x4 to length to fit in between the black brackets that held the rear seat in.

Cut another 2x4 to the same length, but you'll need to round off the edges to fit into the curved part of the bracket.

Stack the two 2x4s on top of each other, place them into the bracket, and drill a hole through them both so that it lines up with the hole in same black seat bracket and secure with a bold and nut.

Cut plywood to size to fit as a platform, and secure using the same bolt and nut from the step above.

Now you'll notice the plywood is angled down too much, so use 2x4s under the plywood to act as a spacer to sit between the tool box and plywood.

Covering the back storage is optional. You can see the piano hinges I used and I found some black ABS plastic. Cut it to size and bolted to the piano hinge. Velcro at the top holds it in place.
