I just picked up some SE FJ Cruiser 16" wheels and i'm looking for someone who has dealt with them or the regular alloys, to see if i can get a little bit more info before i decide to go with a specific set of tires. On a 3" lift, can i go 285/75/R16's with hardly no rubbing at all in a full turn? I've got around 4 1/2 to 5" backspacing with these wheels, to the best of my knowledge. Any input is appreciated. Thanks...

To fit the 285's without rubbing you will need to trim the fender well plastic and possibly chop the cab mount.

I *think* the issue on the stock FJs may be that 285s rub the UCA. If you search hard enough you may find a post by someone who's already mounted those wheels to get a definitive answer.
