Looking at a 2015 tacoma to buy that has 20x12s and 35x12.5 on it with 6" lift.
Not a fan of the wide 20x12s, wondering the amount of backspacing I would need when buying some say, 17s or 18s. Not familiar with buying wheels, sorry any help is appreciated.
Definitely want to stay with 35s just not as wide of wheels.

Here’s a fun tool: If you know either the backspacing or offset of the 20x12’s you can use this tool to determine what would be equivalent in a 17/18. You will just have to play around with the different sizes and then look around to see what different manufacturers offer as not all sizes you will see in the tool may be available in the real world.

What brand lift is it. Many have a specific backspace requirement. Once you know that then just find the wheel you like.

On Procomp’s website says 18” wheel or larger with a max backspace of 4.75”

Make sure you are set with this truck's setup long term before buying. It's not cheap and easy to go lower with this current drop bracket lift if you change your mind down the road. You should also make sure this truck has been regeared to run 35's. Just swapping new tires/wheels alone is quite costly with 35's and 33's would be too small for this lift.
