Too much too read at the moment for the short amount of time I am on break, but these LED should not cause heat right? I was reading somewhere that they do that, the tail lights that I got have LED lights in them but I dunno much about this stuff so im asking the pros!

I installed led for my reverse and they are brighter than most I've seen.

In short LEDs run cooler than stock incandescent bulbs. However LEDs vary widely in light output quality. The DeAutokey LEDs were not the absolute brightest in the comparison, but did have the overall best light output of the LEDs I looked at.

DeAutokeys leds last a long time as well. The bulbs I used are from my 2013 purchase! Originally used on my 2012 VW Jetta, so almost five years later, they still work as they did when new.

I rather light output than brightest. I'm more of function over form. I did read about the guy who was able to get brighter headlights w/o LED or HID retrofit. Cool idea but I'm so used to HID's. I've tested some LED bulbs designed for d2s bulbs but the output wasn't pleasing. I now only use em to pass inspection because they don't allow HID'S in halogen housing, NO MATTER IF YOU HAVE PROJECTORS.

Had the inspector flip my lights several times because he was looking for the warm up that a usual HID would have LOL. Can't fudge with me now britches.

I was thinking, if I could chrome(mirror finish) the reverse section the LED would give a better output.
