I know this sounds pretty dumb but does anyone put any sort of repellent or anything on their backup cam? When it gets wet it's borderline impossible to see out of the camera. I know plenty of people will be like "well, duh it's raining" but I've been in a lot of vehicles and the camera looks great even in the rain.

Anyone else have this complaint or a resolution?

I use McGuires Ultimate Quik detailer on it when I hit my trucks paint with it after a wash - don't get it on the plastic (use 303 on the black plastic) but the detailer is hydrophobic without off gassing so you won't have much droplets stilck to it

I think it might be the lighting for the rear license plate, but I swear my backup camera is black and white sometimes

I give mine a quick wipe after bad weather. Just as bad in the snow.

I just wipe mine off before i get in if it's raining or snowing. Rain-x may work, though. It works nice on my windows, so I would assume it would be good for a camera cover too.
