I can get a pyrite mica 2009 4x4 4cyl 5speed access cab for 23.9 OTD before tax, including SR5 and alloy wheels.

Or, i can get a silver 2009 4x4 4cyl 5speed access cab including the convenience package for 22.1 OTD before tax. They can put on the camera, but it bumps it up to 23.1.

What would you all do? The convenience package truck does have the wiring, but does not have the camera in the tailgate, it's confirmed.

    Main things are:
How bad do I want the backup camera / how much is it to get camera AND mirror - I gather that's probably actually a grand by itself.

Do I care that the overfenders and bumper are black?

Do I care that the steering wheel is polyurethane and not leather-wrapped?

    Will I miss intermittent wipers?

    What do you all think?

    Both seem overpriced. 2009 4x4 AC white with 6cyl, 6speed is 23,800

You can do the wipers yourself for around $100.

I love my camera....with a camper shell and the bed loaded full of stuff for a weekend of camping it's very nice to have that extra vision. Plus, I can now back up to my trailer with total percision.

The camera is well worth the money, but that seems a bit high on price!! I've got a 2009 access cab TRD Sport, loaded and It was only $24987 OTD. Ya gotta haggle you're ass off and play the dealers, or know one of the managers :D:D

People report getting these amazing deals, but I haven't been seeing them. These were the only reasonable deals I"ve found at all, everyone else wanted ridiculous numbers, typically in the 24-range.

No matter which price I choose, I will leverage the $1000 college grad rebate, though, so I'll be subtracting a g from any of the above prices. I'm wondering if i should take the silver one for 22.1 (read: 21.1 after college grad rebate) and look into aftermarket cameras myself.

I love the camera. Very helpful. I wouldn't want the truck without one now.

Though I'm putting in a car computer, and I could probably splice something like http://www.millionbuy.com/vsnvtl120.html into the factory wiring running to the cab, splice it at the other end and hook up to my car comp, and there's my backup camera for $150 instead of $1000

i love having that back up camera really comes in handy when your backing up to a trailer and you dont have a spotter... I've fallen into a bad habit tho now I never actually look at my rear view mirror I only check the camera picture ha. It's great

    I got my 2009 Black 4x4 Access Cab 6 Speed Man for 23K ...

That was back in May.....and don't count the rebates as part of haggling...you should haggle the price down as far as you can...and then take the rebate off that price.

Anyway...i came from driving a car...and was not use to a tailgate...the cam is WELL WORTH IT!

The backup camera is awesome! It is well worth it if you have a double cab long bed like me. You never have to guess how close you are to something. I think it should be standard on all suv/trucks for safety especially if you have kids.

I love the backup camera. As a matter of fact, I would have backed right over our cat had I not had it on my double cab. The rear window visibility is pretty limited with the rear head rests.

Though you CAN buy close to the same thing from the same company that makes the one in the tacoma for around $400, but I think the OEM one is of higher quality.

It's plug and play too, there is a plug-in right there above the mirror in the roof on all the '09s+ and you can reach it with your fingers. (found this out watching a youtube video) Because you can switch the stock mirror out (which has a 2.5 inch LCD monitor) for one that has a 3.5 inch monitor that's made by the same people and it plugs right in. The mirrors alot bigger though.
