Ok so i was backing up a couple of nights ago and realized i couldn't see a thing so i checked to see if my backup light bulbls were burned and they werent and neither were any of the fueses.,. so because it is a manual trans does that mean there is a switch on the transmisstiion that "isn't switching" to turn the lights on?

I have had this same problem, however it has been intermittent. Usually slapping it out of reverse and back in has turned the light on. Must the a switch that the shifter closes or something. I have yet to diagnose mine.
