One of my backup sensors keeps falling out whenever I go over a bump. Has this happened to anyone else or any other WTF moments where you just throw up your hands and laugh with this truck?

Saw another thread about that. Apparently, they're just stuck on with double-sided tape. If it's still under warrantee, then I'd take it to the dealer and get them to fix it. Otherwise, a trip to the hardware store for some new tape is in your future. My first inclination would be silicone sealer, but I don't know if that would affect the sensor.

The two center most sensors on my rear bumper had completely fallen out of place before I bought my truck. The sales rep mentioned it and noticed it on our test drive. He made an appointment for me to have it fixed a couple days later. They ordered some parts and now they are secure. I was the only one to test drive it also. Weird shit tbh.

Ha yeah one of my middle ones also. Hopefully it’s a known issue at this point so it’s repaired correctly

This is one of those examples where pickup trucks, or any vehicle for that matter is better off with out electronics in the bumper.

Vehicles are required to have rear back up cameras. Vehicles are required to have side and rear view mirrors. There is no need for sensors on the rear for cruise control.

What good the sensors do provide, do not out weight the nuisance they cause.

Facts. Other than annoying the crap out of me while backing up my boat when I forget to turn it off I never found them useful at all. I have a camera. For that reason I didn’t even get parking sensors on my ‘24. Front or rear. The silence is golden.

You and I disagree. I backed into a telephone pole with my 2nd gen. Having driven a 3rd gen Tacoma now for 117,000 miles with those sensors, I greatly appreciate them. I'm quite pleased my OR with the Premium package has them.

Don't like them? Get a lower package.

I can appreciate the extra (help?) the sensors provide. I don't think it's worth the extra expenses, maintenance, and complications with aftermarket bumpers are worth the extra help.

You were right, I took a closer look and appears it’s held on with tape. It made me sad for Toyota and I scheduled to have the issue “diagnosed”
