So my wife was "helping" me after a kayak outing and she put the passenger rear headrest in backwards. I can't budge the @#$ thing to get it out. Now I can't drop the seat.

Any help on this is GREATLY appreciated. Has anyone dealt with this. My wife has been appropriately scolded and now feels bad and is no longer permitted to "help"

I'm surprised to hear this. My wife puts her head rest backwards all the time and it comes out with no problem. I'd say just try to patiently work it loose.

Dealer. Warranty. Maybe? Haha. My roommate broke my glove box, and the local dealer ordered a replacement with just a phone call. Said they'd let me know when it comes in, and they'll swap it out with no appointment any time. Maybe you'll be as lucky!

Try squeezing the locking tab while your wifey "helps" you by pulling the headrest straight out. The locking tab might be caught on something and trying to pull the headrest out with one hand might not be allowing you to pull straight. Give her another go and try again. That's the spirit!

thanks. found a thread on it.

pry up the plastic ring on the side without the push button. slide it up. head rest is free and slides right out. easy.

    no muscle required.

She did it on purpose so she wouldn't have to help you anymore! :)

Just like the time I washed the wife's clothes in super hot water! Guess who no longer does the laundry?:)

Glad you got it out. I agree with the above quote - not a big deal, go tell the wife it's all okay...;)
