My 2016 Taco Sport is having front brake issues. It seems like the front rotors are warped. I dont drive up and down many hills and I dont drive very fast (I live in California so you know how the traffic is) but when I hit the brakes it feels like the steering wheel is about to come out of my hand. Anyone else having this problem?

No not yet. But the truck is heavier. My breaks are squeaking and the calipers or something in the brakes sounds funnyou down there to me. I will drive it until the wheel locks up or whatever. So far no remedy for existing recall in my truck. A few others on here have complained of brake issues also like after washing the truck.
Edit. I dId have it happen once bit dropped from high speed to real slow real fast. Abs is not to effective as I have locked up the fronts on stopping.

This is my third Tacoma. The first one had no issues ever. The second one (2007) had the same issue and now my '16 has it too. My Camaro and my Kia have amazing brakes

Look to upgrade to tundra brakes
    It's a dramatic improvement.

Have you taken it to the dealer to have them inspect your brakes?

Hey holmes. Copy word for word what you wrote in your first post onto paper and hand it to someone at a service desk at a Toyota Dealership. That should put you on track to a fix.

I just got it back from the dealer last week. They did the oil change and brake inspection. They said I have 60% left but no mention of anything else

This is such an easy fix I'm at loss for words. How is it that ppl suffer from simple chit like this!

The cause is probably due to over tightened lug nuts on tires during rotation or from factory. Or some real frequent or excessive hard breaking panic stops.

Try another dealer or go to a reputable private shop and have them turn\machine rotors and replace brake pads (with oem) and tell them you want them to use a torque wrench when putting your tires back on, because you never know who's using the impact wrench.

if they were only glazed you can take fine sandpaper to them, but really on a new truck the hassle isn't even worth it. If the wheel is shaking when you brake, your rotors are warped. You'll need to turn them. Take it in, its BS for a new truck. Rotors shouldn't have warped that soon unless something was wrong or you were really riding them hard.

Also did they check for uneven pad wear? Stuck caliper? If it was uneven pad wear the rotor could have been warped from the factory. Drive around the block for a while, use the brakes, and then check the temperature of both rotors. If one is significantly hotter than the other, it could be a stuck caliper.

OP did you wash your truck after a long drive? Or drive through a puddle while the rotors were hot?
That and riding the brake is reallly the only way to warp the rotors. Factory defects aside of course. :(

My brakes were squealing it took several dealer trips to get it resolved and finally they ended up giving me an entire rear brake job

It started about a week ago coming home from work. It has gradually gotten worse. I think I'm going to pull the rotors and have them turned.
