It might be a leak somewhere? that's what mine was. that is until it snapped off:eek: I would have it checked for leaks before you spend a lot of money if you don't need to

Your post read to me like you thought they were separate. If I was mistaken, sorry, just trying to clarify.

So I'm trying the cheapest fix first....:D
Took off battery terminal and reset the CEL.
I know its a long shot, but its a starting point at a total cost of $0.0

This is only week two with the truck and I ran 87 octane and cleaned the K&N so idk if that's affecting the engine and the exhaust? I read the manual and it says run 91 or higher. Maybe the truck is saying WTF bro?

If or when the CEL comes back on I'll take it to a muffler place and see what they have to say.. Looking to save the 2G's to lift it and get some new tires on it. I'll update when there's an update on it.

Alright so the CEL came back on and I decided I was going to go to the muffler "experts" shop in town the other day.. Luckily enough they were on a two vacation.

Talked to a buddy of mine and said to let his step brother, who is a Toyota mechanic take a look at it. He plugged in the machine to read the code and all the other info the computer was spitting out. Tells me that the there's a .01 or .10 difference IDR between the two values that the O2 sensors are getting so that's what's causing the inefficiency code to turn on the CEL. Looks at the CATS and says he cant see any "wear" that you would see on a bad CAT. Also says the temperatures and so on don't look to be way off, so I went on my way and decided against my better judgement to lift the truck. Hoping that the CAT problem won't bite me in the.....

Went with Fox 2.0 Resis, Fox 2.0 Piggy Backs, and an AAL for a mild 2" lift. Bought the Fox shocks used from two different member on here. Thanks TW.

After driving it for a week with a lift the CEL has gone away. My first reaction was joy, then it was "f*ck I hope the light didnt just burn out". Light works fine and I just need to get my hands on that tool to see what the 02's are reading now.

Just replace the downstream sensors and call it a day, thats what I did and have not had a cel since. Rock auto has them for about 50 bucks a piece.
