6 inch spacer lift, leaf springs spacers, XD wheels, and general grappers tires,.
Bought a 13 tacoma with 6 inch spacer lift front and leaf spacers on the back. The rubber boot to the CV has ripped off due to the angle and the upper co trol arms are at an extreme angle. already working on diff dropping it. But I dont need 6 inch spacer lift more like 3 needed at most. Any advice?

Post a pic of where your lower control arms attach to the frame.

Get rid of the spacers and get a good 2.5 to 3" lift kit with shocks and springs. You won't regret it.
Like was previously stated, diff drop may not be what you want especially once you lower it down some.
    Pictures are a BIG help.
Good luck and welcome to TW.

6 inch spacer lift, leaf springs spacers, XD wheels, and general grappers tires,.
That's where its connected to the frame, and the angle of the CV.

Yep, just as I suspected. Drop bracket lift. They cut your frame to install it. You can’t just remove it.

another victim of a drop bracket lift. Ouch. Could always go to a smaller spacer up top.

Where's the fender liner? That can't be good for much of anything.

It's crazy that they leave the stock UCA on with those lifts. new ones will help A lot. If you want to drop it down maybe look at revtek 3" spacers. That would bring everything down to a good angle I think. But you'll have to run a spacer of some type I think. What size tires do you have on it?

Do you know who made the lift? Give them a call and see if they have a spacer for a 4" lift. They might sell you just the spacer. Probably the easiest solution that won't require some fabrication to undo the drop bracket lift. You can pickup some race style CV boots from SDHQ and rebuild the CV axles if the tulip and birfields are still ok. The boots are a good improvment over OEM and will last along time.

Also not to burst any bubbles but the diff drop kits are useless. They rotate the diff more than they drop it. Unfortunately all they are good for is dry bearings, reduced ground clearance and no real improvment of CV angles.

Yea with these trucks a good 3 inch lift will make them more than capable. The drop bracket lifts are for looks.

Jezus yeah, stacked on stacked. Drop bracket lifts do about 4.5in of actual drop, then use a spacer to push the lower arms down the extra 1.5in for a total of 6 or so in. Plus lift springs you are at probably close to 8 in of lift.... jezus.

You almost have to believe, either the installer, or salesman knew what they were doing.
As in, knew better, but didn’t care and did it anyways.
