About 10 years ago, my daughter rolled a Scion XD. The car landed on its top. My daughter crawled out and only had a bruised knee.

I am glad the lady in the video is okay too. I am a big believer in Toyota safety.

Vehicle safety is better now than before. This sequence is from a accident where a truck passed me at 10 MPH (minimum) faster than I was traveling, hit the middle ditch beside the freeway, lost control, crossed the freeway to the right, rolled up and over the right-side hill on the freeway border, rolled a couple of times, landed on its feet facing backwards on a smaller parallel road. Passenger-side roof crushed but the driver was conscious, stunned, alive. I kept the video as "defense" in case that idiot driver decided to claim I caused the accident ... I am not a ghoul.

I did not listen to the entire monologue, but she mentioned that the only thing more scary was being told she had cancer. I can understand a desire to take a year and enjoy life for a year after that, then get back to normal life.

But maybe this was a sign to accept what time she had as "vacation from life".

Amazing the windshield doesn’t even have a scratch. And the wheels seem to defy gravity. I should be so lucky if I roll my truck

edit: looks like the surfboard (paddle board?) is ok, too. :itllbuffout:

She did not say how she lost control. Seems light traffic, maybe a snake in the road at worst. But all it would take is a fast-twitch minor over-reaction to flip a to-heavy vehicle. She did seem rather focused on the documentary camera ...

Being a flat, straight road in good weather, the back tires don't magically go off pavement. She was probably distracted, then overcorrected when the vehicle drifted off the pavement.

Did not see that explanation before ... thanks.

Agreed. She seems rather distracted all of the time anyway ...

(I think I saw the video of the rollover from RR above.)

Seems to me, if this wreck happened at any normal speed (like other cars on that road) she would have rolled harder, or the topper would have broken loose.

But, there’s no visible skid marks on the road or the berm around the truck, no debris or broken glass on the roadway in either direction, only broken glass directly below the window. Its like the truck just rolled itself over…

Yeah, I’m not buying it, either. That Taco had no intention of getting parted out in Argentina!

Searching for Sloan seems like a really nice person. It's truly unfortunate what happened to her. I wish her the best of luck in getting back on the road and making it to Argentina. I'm so thankful that she and her dogs are safe.

Good she and the dogos are ok, truck/camper held up pretty good, time for a quick fixer upper and keep driving south.

    This and that
It’s an odd statement just the back tires off the pavement?

She probably has no idea what happened.
One minute she was distracted by her phone, camera, vanity mirror, etc., next thing she knows, something's different...
