    Brilliant!
Now how do we get fresh air in through the AC system after we saran wrap the opening?

As you can see jandrews is a post count whore and not interested in contributing in a meaningful way. Just another bandwidth hog who has nothing inteligent to contribute to the community.

    Nice:).

I do think it's funny the OP said after he replaced the cowl it stopped leaking into the cab. Which says not design flaw, but failed part.

I like his little metal cabana design. Wonder if he'll start sellin' 'em.

Yea makes since. I would suggest you take the time and take yours apart. And or check you carpet/cabin filter to make sure yours is not doing what mine did.
On the bottom of the cowl there is a drip rail that is supposed to catch what ever water gets by the cowl rubber seal, which Btw is not a water tight/proof one. When that drip rail gets full it fails and drips water down into the AC system fresh air opening thereby getting the motor /fan/cabin filter and floor wet.
I know this because I looked and I'm trying to save other people time and money.

    Merry Christmas

Excellent idea. I haven't had this problem yet. But when it does arise I will know where to start.

Oh dude, thanks for being my spokesperson. I've made it this far from the posts on this thread and I am feeling my ulcer kick in high gear. Holy crap!!!

WTF is TOYOTA DOING? Their QC and engineering has gone down the toilet. I will now have to check this...and I just washed my Taco over the weekend and I was wondering how the air was getting into the cab for this filter to take all the debris out.

This is just plain BS. I love Tacos and I am like you. Do not know what else to buy besides this or the Tundra.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Toyota, take back your manufacturing to Japan and do not worry about the current economy here.

    Shit!

Meh, just nip it in the bud by turning the cabin filter intake upside down.

Apparently I criticized someone at some point.

This is why I can't drink and post.

Edit: Also, seriously, how much for one of those little metal roofs shipped to my door?
