1st & 2nd gen have the same amount of suck, just for different reasons. They both have superiority over everything else, just not over each other.:D

I've never had this problem in almost 5 years and 65,000 miles on my 06. Never had any problems really. Well I did have to replace the battery in the key fob last night. Maybe I'll start a thread about that piece of shit.......

I have seen this issue with 3 trucks at work.....

All 3 had blocked drains which were allowing water to pool and backup/puddle till it overflowed into the truck. The drain in the pass side is very small and is easily blocked. After a good cleaning none of the 3 have been back for this problem. Even with all 3 living outside for the 2 weeks of rain and snow we've been getting here in N. Ca....

You think this is bad Audi and VW drains are under the battery. It's about an hour's worth of work to clean them out. When they get blocked the water pools deep enough to flood the car and the electrical box containing the relays and the ECU. Did 3 of these this week..... New Porsche's are the same way. A little debris in the drain on a 911, Boxster or Cayenne and its ECU time......

Is that the "Moose Filter Mod" I'm seeing in those pics? Sure looks like it to me.:D BTW, I also covered mine a while back to fix it and did a little write-up (so maybe now you've done two of my mods unknowingly?):

you know that part of the cowl is actually covered by the back of the hood. is there a seal there (on the hood side) that is supposed to keep water out? im just asking. plus i dont leave my "fresh-air" switch open when it rains/raining. that maybe another way water is getting into the blower motor housing. just a suggestion.

Hood or no hood, you've also got the holes around the wipers, etc. Water is expected to go in that area naturally which is why the air box inlet has raised edges and there are drains in the cowl. The fresh/recirc air door is inside the vehicle and by then it's too late. Water is never supposed to get in this area.

Props to you! Did'nt know you did that, great minds think alike.
I searched and could'nt find an answer so I fixed it (with the moose mod) and thought I'd share.
In retrospect probably won't come here to share after the jokers here thought it was funny to crap on the thread. Oh well, I did fight to protect there 1st amendment right to say what they want even if it is stupid.
Someday maybe they will meet someone like me in person and find out their jokes are'nt so funny to everyone.
It's easy to cap on someone from infront of a computer monitor, not so much in person (no balls).

Welcome to TW- The first amendment doesn't apply here. That only restricts the GOV'T from doing something....TW is a private organization.

And when I said move along...I meant move along...Not take one parting shot and then move along.
