got a vibe that occurs even though I have shims (second set) and ECGS bushing needle bearing replacement.

    Vibe is 38-45mph.

Could this vibe be harmonic engine vibration or bad cv if it not the driveline? My driveline angles are perfect.

What does a bad cv feel like?

Highly doubt it's your CVs themselves. How are you sure your angles are perfect?

Drive differently, but worse with no shims. Vibe has always been there

Measured 4 times. Have 3 degree shims.

Working angles were .02 degrees different with no CB spacer

Where do you feel the vibe? Seat, pedal, steering wheel, etc?

Top of the steering wheel and in floor slightly. Slightly feel in brake pedal when braking. Vibe even occurs in coast coming down thru speed range.

i’ve seen more than a few shim vine posts. typically remedied by removing shims

you sure the rear end is aligned correctly. i’ve seen posts where centering pin holes were off center before

Hmm I could try it. I recently got a leaf removed and the vibe is still there as well although slightly less after the leaf removal

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
You had the ECGS bushing replaced but have you tried that speed in straight line with 4wd engaged to see if it goes away? Just a thought to try.

Vibe is still there in 4wd but 1/2 as aggressive, maybe 1/3

Even with the ECGS the vibes will still be there, it's the nature of the axle binding.

My did it about 80% less after the ECGS but better.

So...is there a way to get rid of it? Many people report no vibes. My vibe is parabolic and harmonic in nature.

Have you tried putting a different set of rims and tires on to see if that changes anything? That’ll eliminate balance and tire wear from the equation if the shimmy still exists after rim/tire swap. If the shimmy disappears then you found the culprit.

I forget the thread name but a guy put together a set of locking hubs and that enables you to disconnect the front driveline to eliminate vibe. Bonus is better mpg without the parasitic loss into front drivetrain. Also enables you to have a 2lo if you put it in 4lo with the hubs unlocked. You can leave the ADD system intact so no worries there.

Carrier bearing shims. Have you tried that?? I had a vibration similar to yours after 2" lift and it went away after carrier bearing shim add. Can try a few washers to see if it works for ya before spending $10 on shims.

+1 to this. You are running a full Dakar pack, and for me, I had to put in both 3 degree axle shims and carrier bearing drop to get the angles right and eliminate vibration from it.

Definitely want to do this, just need access to a different set of rims and tires

I have 3 degree shims with no CB spacer. I’ve read that no space for the CB should be used if you can accomplish ideal working angles in the driveline. My working angles are .2 degrees different which is nothing
