    Hello

very disappointed in the fit of the weathertechs for my 2012 DC. I cant put the driver or passenger side seats all the way back with out it pulling up the rear mat. Seems like they forgot to cut a much needed notch. Also the passenger side mat dimensions are a little off - a little too wide. It doesnt sit correctly. My 2007 set fit like a glove. This sucks.

Mine fit great. Maybe a bad batch out there?

Mine have the same issues. The forward lip of the rear mat blocks the ends of the seat rails, so when you slide it back it pulls the mat back slightly. I managed to wiggle it down so it doesnt distort the mat too much. The passenger side is just slightly too wide, so it sits a tiny bit above the door sill. I watched it as I closed the door and it doesnt obstruct or distort, so I'm hoping it may form a little better over time, seeing as the door is usually closed.

Mine is much worse that a slight pull though. This is a shot from the rear of the front passenger seat pushed all the way back.

Interesting. Can you not get the mat any lower, so it pulls the top of the lip backwards instead of crumpling the whole front of the mat? That's what mine do...

I told them about that issue back in 2009, they didn't care. I cut mine to clear the rail.

Do you slide your seat all they way back? I'm 6'3 so my seat is all the way back so the inside rail hits. I got my mats directly from weathertech and the label was correct for my year.

For some reason they made the mats with a notch to clear the outside rail, but did not do the same for the inside rail.

I don't drive with it all the way back , but have moved the seat all the way back without it interfering

I got my mats direct from Weathertech Canada

I'm gonna go try it right now

Just went out and tried it , mine doesn't hit .

Stupid question , but , you don't have the Weathertechs stacked on the Toyota carpet mats do you ?

I don't know. My options are to simply go without weather techs for a long while while they (hopefully) correct the fit, see if i get lucky and i get a set that actually fits cause it sounds like they are out there, or cut to make this set fit. The only problem is that there will be ALOT of cutting. It's not just the rails on the underside of the door, it's also whatever bar is in the middle. Basically I'd have to cut most of that front lip off of the mats. I was thinking about getting some good double sided tape to hold down the side of the front passenger mat as well. It's a lot of problems but i loved having these in my 2007 and I really want them to work in my 2012. We'll see what they say when they get the pics I sent them.

For that amt of money for floor mats, IMO, it should be a perfect fit. If not, that's a defect and they should make it right. If you want to cut floormats to fit, there's always Walmart.

I agree 100%. However I don't have the patience to wait for a new batch that fit better, especially because I dont know if they will ever materialize.

Wtf weather tech. You dropped the ball big time:mad:
