I’ve used grant steering wheels for years in my Miata. I’ve tweeked it to look like a 1960s Lotus, so it required a red steering wheel. I got a cheap faded red vinyl one & tried the auto-store interior leather & vinyl paint. 15 years later, I changed the leather seats & the new pair didn’t match anymore, so I repainted to a brighter red.
The more expensive “dye” style seems to work well. The can I usef for the repaint was $8/can at O’Reilly’s.

For a vinyl 13” Grant wheel, the paint worked for well over a decade. Unless the material of the Taco wheel is less paint-friendly, it should be fine.

I cant seem to remove airbag from steering wheel. I loosen the star bit from eqxh side but still hard to remove. Researching more in case i missed a step, but dont think so. T30 star bit size used.

    Forgot- prep is key
Clean the heck out if it, finishing with a full-on alcohol wipe, untill all the gunk & oils are off it. Psint won’t stick to oils.

    I like it!
How are the reflections in the windscreen?

I’m wondering if/how I should mess with my old truck

Gotta get seat covers first, as all needs to coordinate. Overall, my interior is in pretty good shape. My plan is to add a door panel, probably body color or matching the seat cover- esp. if I make it in plaid/tartan- probably using Black Watch, as it is commonly available & coordinates well the garnet/Sunfire Red & will work with the dark tans too.
