Just out of curiosity, have you checked your front wheel bearings? I just went through the same thing with a good friend's Tacoma and that's what we traced it down to. How many miles on it?

Are you stock still? Tires recently? I haven't noticed much decline in mileage from new,now at about 60 k miles. I'm stock on 245/75R16 tires. Are you on winter blend gas now? That will take away mpg for sure.

where do you live? Cold weather driving and winter fuel steal about 20% of your fuel economy on a Tacoma...I get 16-17 in the cold winter and 20 in the summer...see my fuelly chart.

Have you cleaned your MAF? That’s the first thing I’d do if it hasn’t been cleaned for awhile. A dirty MAF is notorious for decreased mpg and performance.
But 6 mph less is a lot so I doubt it would be only the MAF. Could be MAF , winter fuel blend and winter. Have you noticed any change in performance?

The lousy quality government gas we get these days causes a lot of problems. I suspect you may have an issue with dirty fuel injectors and most likely a carbon buildup on the backs of the valves. I'd suggest you find a local shop that offers the BG fuel system service (find a shop on the BG Products website). They temporarily disable the fuel feed from your tank and run the engine on a cleaning solution that cleans up the deposits on the backs of the valves and also the fuel injectors. If your valves are carboned up the carbon will absorb some of the fuel injected into the engine resulting in a lean condition to which the fuel injection control will provide more fuel and thus down goes you fuel mileage. If you don't want to pay for the full service you could try putting a can of BG 44K cleaning solution into your tank and see if that helps, but with a 6 year old vehicle if you've never had a fuel system service you need one, I bet it will make a huge difference. They also clean the throttle body as part of the service (or at least they should). If you do this, let us know what happens.

    I own a 2013 DCLB V6. I get 14-15 city. Seems normal to me.
