I'm all for dogs, but how in the world can a car be as loud as a dog? That's false.

    EDIT: Cats, not cars.

    UPDATE:

I went over yesterday and the car was outside so I assume they are home. I hung out in the front yard of GFs parents house (across the street) for a bit fooling around but I didn't see any signs of intelligence (lol). So I left a note "Don't put anything else on my truck or you'll have a problem. -Alex
    555-555-5555" with my real number.

    Also!

Her parents hate the neighbors as much as I'm beginning to. I guess they've had problem since the neighbors moved in (the neighbors rent)

I'm going to leave everything alone now, unless they escalate the situation. Now I look like an idiot passing notes too :annoyed:

I would have worded it a bit better, as that note sounds hostile. "Please give me a call so we can discuss the parking problems" or something of that nature.

No worries, we've all been there. Just try and be calm and civil in any future interactions, because as someone else pointed out, your GF's parents have to live next to this person for the unforeseen future.

There are places that exist where the Gospel according to Bob Barker falls on deaf ears and folks don't neuter or spay their cats. This creates a lot of problems because it leads to there being lots of stray cats running around. Some people will go on to feed the cats, which creates an even greater problem. I'm not sure what you call a group of cats but when there are a bunch of them, they absolutely cause a ruckus in the evenings. Their meow can be every bit as loud as a bark.

Fun fact of the day. A group of cats is called a "clowder". I guess I've just been thankful to never have been around a group of stray cats.

Well atleast you have identified who it is, although as you remarked it could of been worded differently as it looks like you are encouraging a confrontation with possible negative emotion. But now, if they choose to persue you further you can argue that you said your piece and now its a form of harassment from an individual.

I know I messed up but I'm not usually one to start fights. I just don't understand why they picked my truck. They know I don't live there.

I know man, to be honest it would be hard to not be aggressive as Im sure you can think of the history of constantly being messed with via notes. Through my experience, I have learned to give everyone with a grievance one "honest" shot. If they take my calm offering after being a piece of shit, then its all business from then on out. Considering the rents don't care for this guy, whats to say even with my approach that you might be in the same situation? Regardless, you finished the convo as a responsible adult with him taking his gripes to a fellow land owner instead of a visitor such as yourself.

Yea man, that's really a safety measure for me. That way despite of the history, you tried to do the right thing and putting effort to calm the situation. If the guy is a dipshit and keeps the heat, then its fun to surprise them when they don't expect you to be more than willing to confront at that point. Its not that I prefer confrontation, but I love bullying a bully. Helps me justify their existence when they get a swift kick in the ass.

On a side note, if things escalate beyond this, might be worth talking with her rents to see which neighbors they communicate with. You might find that many neighbors might have a grievance against this guy. If that is the case, some cops tend to enjoy roasting the douchebag.

You are fortunate. I've heard horror stories of someone running over one in the clowder with their car on accident and having the rest of the cats stalking them.
They'll probably write you a note.
