My wife of forty years got a bad CT scan report on the 17th, confirmed yesterday as stage 3 cancer. Just a reminder that material things like our trucks are fleeting. Only love and family really matter. Please consider taking a few minutes break to go hung your family, look them in the eye and tell them that you love them.

:(. Cancer is awful, and the treatment for it is almost as bad. Best of luck.

    Yeah.
Sorry to hear, bro. Don't lose hope or despair, together you can beat it. My wife was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at 42. Went through all the chemo, surgery, and radiation only to be diagnosed with colon cancer less than 10 years later. She just turned 56, and other than being a bit overweight, she is healthy. You both can beat this!

Thank you. Hopefully, with me, it's just a minor problem that can be corrected with diet and lifestyle.

JaCado that is terrible. I have sent a prayer for you and will include you in mine going forward. I am praying full-time, without pause. You are in His good hands.

Seriously guys, all we really have while on the earth is family and love. Thank you to this family for all of your kind words.

Its not good guys. Colonoscopy Friday revealed massive tumors, procedure cut short. Referred to ER for emergency surgery. Had three tumors and still unknown amount of her colon removed at 1am Saturday morning. Now has a colostomy bag. Gastrologist says stage 4, non curable, but treatment shall commence. If she wants. if she doesn't I will honor her decision. She has suffered enough.

Go right now and hug your family. Tell them you love them, then hug them again. In the end all we have is family.

Thank you so much for your prayers.

:( There's no easy choice here, and there's no simple solution. All you can do is make the absolute best of the time you have left together.

What kind of treatment are they recommending?

Too soon to even know. Just want to get her home and put her into her own bed at this point. Saddest, she spent the last three years of her life helping me take care of my 98 year old father who has vascular dementia. By bringing him here instead of putting him in a nursing home I tethered us to him and the need to stay home and care for him. I robbed her of the last three years of her life.

I suspect she might not see it that way, especially since neither of you had any idea this was in the cards. Feel guilty later if you want, be there for her now.
