Bad to replace front struts but leave stock rear shocks?

Hey guys, forgive me if this is a dumb question. I'm just getting into this whole tacoma scene and one thing I wanna do is upgrade my suspension. I just ordered up a set of Bilstein5100 front shocks because the stock ones on my truck are leaking badly (they are 18 years old). I'm replacing them and leaving the stock coils. My plan was to leave the rear suspension set up alone until I have the time to work on them. Right now I'm taking the truck to a shop to do the front set up, but I'd like to be able to do the rears myself. Basically I had a thought today wondering if changing the shocks in the front of the truck while leaving all other components stock is not a good idea? Should I be changing my shocks all the way around? Am I risking damaging other suspension components by doing this?

    Thanks guys.

Only you know what the rest of the Suspension is like .

How are your rear springs ?? . Are the rear shocks still working ??

It all comes down to the mileage as well.

Then what might have already been replaced .

If you can only afford to have the front done we have all had times working on a limited budget

Mileage is high at 240k (engine runs like an absolute top I'd like to add). Yea the rears are definitely ok. If they can wait for a couple months that would be ideal. Just so long as it wont damage any of the components. The tie rods were recently done, but really no other suspension modifications have been done. I'd just like to do the rear leafs and shocks at the same time (when I have more $$$$)

Don`t forget the lower Ball Joints

Other then dampen the hard bounces the shocks don`t do much .

You should be fine waiting unless things get worse

Thanks, I appreciate your help a bunch, I'm confident that it should be all fine. I just wanted a few 2nd opinions because better safe than sorry. I'd never really thought about it being an issue until today when I got paranoid about it hahaha.
