Just cause it's a salvage title doesn't mean you should always immediately write it off.

Agreed, as someone who buys a lot of vehicles I always assume salvage means junk but something extensively modified as that I would think anything salvage has been removed and replaced beyond whats on the title. Many of those Porsche Techart cars are salvaged cars which are then fixed and have like 30-50k dumped into them with parts. Makes the car more affordable and doesn't tear apart a perfectly accident free 911.

Not a gen 1...hope I don't get flack for posting but this brand new Tacoma sr5 prerunner is done up: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-Toyota-Tacoma-SR5/323984968722

So what? If you’re buying a SAS’d 20 year old Tacoma for the resale value, you’re doing it wrong.

Salvage title doesnt mean anything, anyway. What matters is if whatever damage was repaired correctly. Seeing as how 100% of the suspension and drive train have been replaced. It’s probably fine.

And frame issues should be able to be found (along with anything else) with a pre-purchase inspection.

Some dealers will do them as well.

But with a truck built like this, the title should be the least of your worries.

    Right?

It’s pretty easy to royally screw up a SAS. I’ve seen seen online sales where you can tell it must have been built by a blind monkey. And that’s from the pics the lot wanted to show you, lol.

This one looks good for sure, but if Im buying a rig to bash around on the Rubicon, I couldn’t care less if it has a color matched bumper.

Notice the conspicuous lack of rock sliders...

The truck was built on a show called Xtreme off road, they called it "straight up Tacoma" project, you can google it.

No, more like what I wish I had, if mine were in a condition to sell, I’d possibly buy this one!!
