Well, I'm in VT now, but had it done back in MA, a shop called Jeff's Garage in Charlton.

Ordered a new set of Cooper S/T Maxx LT265/75-16E this morning

Last week I ordered up some new goodies from Crutchfield to go with the speaker upgrade that I did last summer, and that all arrived yesterday. I've got a Kenwood Excelon DDX8906S DVD Receiver, iDatalink Maestro, SXM Receiver, and all the necessary bits and bobbles to connect it all. That should be a project for this weekend I hope.

Friday morning the new tires go on. Rick, didn't you have the S/T Maxx at one point? Was there something you didn't like about them?

Had 2 sets and loved them. Once I went 255 though I couldn't get them Raised White Letters, so I went Cooper Pro's. You will love the Maxx's

New tires are on, needs a wash so I haven't taken pics, I do need to do a little trimming, get some rubbing on the fender liner and bottom of the flare when turning, but the tires look great. I was supposed to get an alignment while it was there, but the upper ball joint on the drivers side is bad, so they declined to do the alignment today, and said to bring it back after I put the new joint in. I'm gonna do both sides, since I have the older, non-coated JBA ball joints and this will be a good opportunity to swap them out.

Don't trim yet brother, get it aligned and you should be good to go.

Remember, I'm running more offset than stock with the SCS wheels. I rubbed with the old tires (same size) too until they wore down quite a bit, but I will probably wait to trim anyway.

I'm not towing a camper quite as often with the Tacoma these days, so in addition to replacing them because the glass was cracked on one, and the heater on the other stopped working, I switched back to OE mirrors with turn signals, color matching covers, and added the heated glass to them. Yes the truck is still in need of a wash.

Way overdue install of the new shocks yesterday and a 'shake out cruise' today. I replaced the OME Nitrochargers and 887 coils with a full set of OME BP-51 shocks. Did a bunch of dirt roads, some easy class 4 stuff, and wrapped up with some interstate. The difference is amazing. These ride so much smoother than the Nitrochargers did.

There are certainly worse jobs, but does anyone really enjoy working on drum brakes? Got one side down, braided brake lines installed on the rear. Coming back and finishing the other side and fronts tomorrow, new stainless lines up front too.

I do love having a garage now though. I can actually get away with leaving it on stands overnight.

Installing: Powerstop drums and shoes; EBC slotted rotors and 7000 series pads, Speed Bleeders, and +2" stainless lines all around.
