Well I debadged, but then painted and put some of them back on. Put the Tacoma on each door back, and just Tacoma on the tailgate as IMO the Prerunner V6 SR5 looks dumb as hell.

for those of you who want black badging

    http://www.4runners.org/writeups/blackpearl/index.html

at one point in time Toyota actually offered several vehicles with Black Pearl emblems and this is a cheap way to achieve the same look without spending like $200 for an OEM set

Wow, your truck looks awesome!!! :cookiemonster: Did you measure the factory stickers? I did and found both sides off nearly 3/8" from the top of the bed.

I doubt Toyota leaves anything like that to chance. They probably have a jig and it probably looks better with a 3/8" difference.

Honestly, I doubt it. Assuming they use a jig on every truck is giving Toyota a lot of credit. One side was off by 3/8" and the other was off a little less. If they used a jig then both sides would be off by the same amount. Just my $0.02

    Debadged or blackened.
I've always been a sucker for the subdued/covert look -- chrome and flash just draws to much attention. Stealth on by every time.

Like everything else in life, when it comes to...Badged or De-badged? I think we should practice moderation.

As Confucius said, "Once you de-badged, it is hard to badged."

OK I am out of here...

That is how I measured as well only I am at just a hair over 5" from the bottom of the bed rail.

id lose my tailgate emblems if i could...but theyre holding a good balance there with my stickers and i think it would just look...umm...off...if i removed them

i painted the TOYOTA and TACOMA black but got bored and left the V6 and SR5 silver...ill get around to painting them one day

does this mean i count in all categories? i have some black emblems, some silver emblems, and some deleted emblems :D

    maybe im just indecisive...or lazy

Debadged, blacked-out grille emblem, and I plan on putting on little, white mountain goat die cuts where that big "TRD Off-Road" sticker is on the side of the bed. White diecuts are the coolest  subtle but they pop.

Took a chance of de-badging after the truck has been on the road for about 3 years and over 60,000 miles. I was worried that there might be some "phantom" paint fade issues. I didn't notice any, but haven't had it in direct sunlight yet, did them last night as the sun was going down. I just did the tail-gate and will most likely leave the tacoma ones on the front doors. What do you all think???
