Was planning to go to the badlands off-road park on the 17th of August and I was wondering is it worth a 3 hour drive there? Or what’s the big hype on that park?

It's worth checking out. I am about 2.5 hours from there. I was there 3 weeks ago:

I'm 3 hours south of Badlands. (In Central Kentucky.) Just wondering where you were starting from.

From the perspective of someone who drives 3+ hours to get to Badlands; I 've been 3 times in 4 years. It's a fun place to play around. Not big enough to get too excited about IMHO. You'll know that you're in an ATV park.

Also, look at Redbird SRA not too much farther for you. State owned. Just re-opened after a few months of work.

I'm about due for a trip to Attica (Badlands) Let me know if/When you plan to head that way. Know a few others who frequent the place.

I used to ride ATVs there all the time when I was younger. Seems like it would be small for a truck, but I haven’t been there in quite some time. Loved riding my 250R there!

I use to go there often with a Jeep and it's definitely a fun place to go, spin tires, and practice driving off-road on 800 acres.

They've got a lot of variety of trails that are mild to wild. There is a lot of sand, and after rain some serious mud pits. You'll also find rocks, fun tight trails through trees (just watch out for your paint), hill climbs, places to drive fast, and even roll your vehicle over.

The park is also popular with ATVs, but they have some dedicated areas to trucks only.
