When Toyota released the new Tacoma I just had to have one, so as soon as I could I traded in my 2015 SR5 for a New 2016 TRD Off Road DCSB with a standard transmission. I didn't waste any time before I started ordering parts and modifying it to suit my needs, and accommodate my outdoor lifestyle. This is the most recent picture.

Here are some pictures of the ARB air compressor. Fits perfectly under the hood on passenger side fender, even mounted up to some factory holes just like it was meant to be!

The Switch pro Install: This thing is Awesome! I like it because it keeps all the wires under the hood, and has all my switches in one spot to where I don't have to drill holes all over my dash.tacoma build 029.jpg

I also want my build specifically for overland. What was your reasoning for going with Icon lift?
How do you like the FrontRunners rack? I'm debating between this and Baja Rack.

Its been awhile so I figured it was time to update this thread before I fell to far behind. I've added a 3" Old Man Emu lift to the truck with TRD Pro Wheels and 285/70 17 General Grabber AT2s. I know its not what I had originally said I was going to do for lift and wheels and tires but I started to think about how I was going to be using the truck, and the fact that I drive 50 miles a day for work, a ICON stage 5 or better lift and 35s just wasn't really practical. As far as the OME lift I have nothing bad to say so far. I have a little over 5 thousand miles now since I put the lift on. Night and day difference in ride quality offroad compared to what it had factory. Also finally mounted my RTT and awning and various other Frontrunner accessories that have been sitting in garage all winter :)

Picked up a Camp chef Explorer 2 burner stove a couple of days ago on a impulse, and naturally I had to go test it out... here are some pics from Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

    Nice looking truck so far!

Have you had any issues with the ARB compressor being hooked up to your Switch Pro? If I'm reading that correctly, you've got it wired into switch 1, which has a 15A capacity. Your compressor can hit 32A under maximum load. I ask, because I just installed a Switch Pro and want to run an ARB compressor with it. I'm not the greatest with wiring. Thanks for the help!

Thanks! The main power wire to the arb compressor is coming right off the battery going to compressor. I took positive wire for the switch that came with compressor and tied it into the switch pro which from there runs to the solenoid that goes to the compressor. Basically just wired the switch pro up in place of the rocker switch that came with it. I can post some pictures this evening of how I did it.

That makes sense; thanks for the help. I'm assuming that the solenoid running the compressor doesn't draw the same amount of power the compressor does, thus not endangering the SwitchPro.

Any pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks man! I like your build as well! How do you like the ditch lights? I've been debating doing those for awhile since I have a spare set of rigids laying around? Also how difficult was it to relocate the diff breather ?

Got the pelfreybilt bumpers mounted today! That was fun, very hard to bring myself to make that first cut though in the bumper but all in all I think they turned out well and am very happy with it. Sorry about the cell phone pics but I ran outta daylight pretty quick. I'll get some better ones up tomorrow. But for now.....20160517_181151.jpg 20160517_181536.jpg 20160517_184330.jpg 20160517_185356_001.jpg 20160517_195805.jpg 20160517_201524.jpg 20160517_211423.jpg 20160517_211345.jpg

I really like this build. Do you have a issue with the top rack and the moon roof?

Thanks! As far as the moon roof, it opens and closes just fine and the rack doesn't get in the way. I rarely ever open it though because the wind noise from the rack is almost unbearable. It probably wouldn't be so bad on a calm day but here in North Dakota the wind is always blowing.
