My local Costco handled the Covid pandemic like champs. Carts were pre-cleaned, checkout lines staffed, old people only hour 9-10 AM. I could always get in and out in under 45 minutes. I don’t stop at the OLED TV’s and computers; that cuts 15 minutes off the total trip time.

 

Yeah. Just Sams for us. Costco is 90min away and the nearest BJs is like 2+hr.

 

I’ve been doing merchandising at Costco before we open for 13 years and this last year with the pandemic had to have been the hardest but the most rewarding. I’m kind of sad that we are going back to normal now on the 15th.

Despite meme stocks being down, core portfolio is rippin'. Great day for the s+p and gold. Comfortable gains on ARKK and iCLN. Bonds are bonds.

As did the Costsco's in our area. Sams did similarly.

Through Covid though Sam's had one big advantage over Costco -- the Scan & Go feature in their phone app.

Lets me scan stuff, then checkout & pay from within the phone app - *completely* bypassing the lines at the registers. Show the QR code on the phone to the door person, they check a couple things in the buggy, and I'm on my way.

REALLY nice on a Saturday when I just need one or two things.

Can someone tell it to do that magical thing where it mysteriously crosses into the green right before close of market?

 

it's another battle for $250 it seems. it feels like yesterday we were battling for $150 lol

 

Almost every stock I have is green expect GME and AMC hmmmmm

 

If GME closes above $260, someone will put a banana in their ass. OK, lets hope the stock gods heard our sacrifice.

 

My core account went up a ton, but was still wiped out by GME going down lol
