Mine are prewired to an spod switch set up. Did you splice red into the green or brown wire in the OEM switch?

I still have the bottom post on the switches (the one that looks like you jumpered the red wire on)

Green is positive and tan is ground. You need to tap both to dim. It'll only work if your switch illumination is separate from the fused "switched" power. So for my rocker switches, I can only dim the lower LED since the upper draws from the switched power circuit.

So new methodology after looking around. I think Im going to get some LP9's for spots and have them on the bumper. I know its not as ideal compared to the roof, but it should work decent for far distances when its flat enough to get the illumination that far to begin with. Only thing stopping me from getting LP9s instead of some square ones is the fact that the LP9 doesnt have any covers developed yet. I always have my aux lights covered even though now Im in AZ, but know that I probably could get pulled if a cop wanted to bad enough.

Next question is would racer edition or pro spots be better? Im thinking I dont go fast enough or should to warrant the racer spot vs the Pro spot. Any feedback from folks who rock a spot set up is appreciated.

I still just may have to get some of the ones with switches to go up under my RTT for bed light/camp light

I'm mounting 1 or 2 (white and Red) on a 90* angle aluminum, and bolting it to the channel on the back of my RTL. That way I'll be able to light up the tailgate for camp cooking, etc.

There’s no such thing as too many lumens. Add a laser bar back there and it’ll double as a food warmer

Exactly! I just ordered two XL80s. I decided I wanted the raw output rather than the crazy distance. :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

Fuck I'm jelly! I really want a 40" S8 but it's gonna have to wait a little bit. When I do I'm going full spot.

Don't worry, I'll let you see them. I might even let you turn them on if you play your cards right.

Has anyone used Lamin-X film on the lenses to protect them from rock chips?

I have used Lamin-X in the past on other lights (and my teardrop front window), and noticed that the film alters the light path (albeit slightly).

I have a pair of Squardron Sports ready to go in my bumper, and am wondering about protecting them from rock chips. Fortunately, I know I can get replacement lenses if they ever get really bad (great customer service!), but curious about extending the no-rock-chip time.
