You know you are a truck dork when you see a brand that doesn't use your favorite type of electrical connector, and you judge.

...Deutch connectors? *scoff* All about the weatherpacks. :D

I actually prefer deutsch connectors lol, alot of oems use it and it takes repetitive abuse pretty well, also I think the LP series uses them on the back of the lights

since all or most of my prior lighting was rigid, I had to make a bunch of adapters to fit my bd....

That ain't overboard :) nice setup either way. I keep flip-flopping back and forth between something in the foglight area or just saying fuck it, and cutting the grill for a smallish light bar.

A pair of pros gets your 2/3 the lumen output of a 20" S8 in a smaller form factor. I had a 30 inch bar in the lower grille for a long while as well. Both are good options.

Perhaps a stupid question....is the difference between 9,800 and 12,600 lumens a noticeable improvement in real world use? (assuming similar lenses, same manufacturer, etc, etc)

It will be noticeable. Although I do think there is a point of diminishing returns...but I haven't found it yet.

This is Squadron Sport combo in the fog + Squadron Pro Spot on ditch brackets.
Ignoring the potato-cam these give me very good confidence traveling at speed at night.

Anyone place an order lately? Placed one on Tuesday and every item (6 x Squadron Pro and 1 fog light kit) is marked as backordered. Emailed them just a minute ago but wondering if anyone else is seeing this too.

I got my XL80s delivered on Tuesday...not sure if that’s helpful.

We are currently experiencing longer lead times than normal and most orders ship in 2-3 business days. If your order hasn't gone out today, it will most likely go out Monday.

Thanks for the update. And no worries. I know I’m being a little bitch but I’ve had orders with other companies go into “backorder” and shit took forever.

What does everyone recommend for a flush mounted light for the rear bumper? I have a high clearance bumper on order and plan to add either S2 Pros or Squadron Pros to supplement the factory reverse lights.

Which would you recommend and should I get wide cornering or the driving combo pattern?

ETA - this is the same bumper I have on order but this guy had Rigid D2’s. I would be installing the lights in the same spot though.

Are you cutting your own holes in the bumper? I ask because the S2 and the squadrons are totally different shapes.

Yes I know they are different but either will fit. Either I’ll cut out the holes or have SOS cut them out when the bumper goes into production.

I’m leaning towards the S2’s because of the smaller form factor, although they aren’t as bright. Just not sure whether to go with the wide cornering or driving/combo pattern.

If you just want them as aux back up lights then get the S2. They're very sleek and will be way brighter than you'll likely need. I would go with the work/scene pattern. Looks like it projects a whole lot wider, just not as far back. That's exactly what you want in reverse lights though.

They only offer spot, driving/combo, or wide cornering in the S2’s. :(
