    Whats the recommended procedure for removing the rock guards? I just put one on an S2 Sport and have pried with my hands as hard as I feel comfortable doing and it won't come off. This is with the light solidly mounted.

    Press in the middle of the guard and the edges should flex out.

    Next tip is to turn the lights on for a few minutes to warm up the cap

    Got it, I just yanked without regard on the top only. Hopefully it will loosen up a bit. The cover is so small there is not much flex when I tried pressing in the middle.

    The S2's can be a little tricky. Do you see any road grime or dirt between the rock guard and bezel? I've had mine get really tight due to dirt being on the bezel when the rock guard was popped on. The tolerances are really tight and something minor like this would affect how the guard comes on and off.

    No, everything is brand new, I just put the cover on to test it. Its do-able but difficult. I think I'll manage though.

    So after seeing @Rome604 ’s XL80s mounted, I got fomo and decided to get mine up too. Cardinal sin of Tacoma ownership is having fomo, I know. Pre install testing I thought one was a dud, not lighting up at all and using BD harness. Turns out just a loose wire. All fixed and ready to go on truck probably this weekend.

    @Baja Designs anything I should look at in particular on my 30” S8 bar the middle section won’t turn on but the 2 sides do.

    Is that with the truck running?

    I dunno about the S8 but my onx6 has battery management built in. It’ll shut off half the light bar if my truck battery is getting low. Threw me off the first time it happened.

    Good thinking, but unfortunately I noticed this when the truck was running

    @StOrMyThEtAcO sorry about the issue

    As @inesshell mentioned, you can open up the center section and check the bolts on the circuit board. On rare occasion, they can loosen up and cause the circuit board to work intermittently.

    We typically do this in-house at BD. If customers are comfortable with checking the hardware themselves, they can open up the light and double check it's good to go.

    We are happy to do this here at BD if you don't want to take the bar apart. Please let me know if I can help in any way
