    I had mine there until they got moved to the roof rack. Only thing I noticed was that you need solid mounting brackets. I have CaliRaised A Pillar mounts and I noticed the lights would vibrate slightly. Normally thats not a big deal but since the XL80 project light such a far distance, it means your spot is bouncing up and down. I was thinking of upgrading to the SDHQ mounts since they 'appear' to be a stronger design.

    I wouldn't suggest having two different lens patterns for your ditch lights. In my experience that would look super weird when you actually have them on. Anything that's a SPOT lens looks 'powered off' when it's next to the XL80 driving combo. This is because the XL80 cranks out so much light that it doesn't matter where you stand, you're getting lit up. The spot lens is only intense when you are looking directly into the beam.

    I can highly recommend the XL80s if it's in your budget. They are not "too" big for the A pillar location. If you want to try something new.....I'd suggest waiting for the LP4s to be released. They look bad ass and will have side projecting LEDs. If BD follows their current lighting structure then the LP4s will be labeled as Pros and should have more output then the Squadron Pros. And they look badass which is always a plus if you're spending this kind of money.

    I've got Squadron Pros Spots on CBI ditch mounts, I appreciate that they are smaller and low key until they are switched on.. Spots worked better for me to minimize hood glare than combo lenses in that spot.. Keep in mind I use them as driving lights facing forward and not necessarily ditch lights off to the side.

    I have some cheap lights on ditch light brackets now, and also use them as driving lights. Hence why I am looking at the XL80s to throw alot more light. Do the spots lights up anything on the side of the trail or are they pretty much dead on ahead.

    Spots are pretty much straight ahead, I've got Combo Sports in the fog pockets for fill up front.
    Stock highbeams/+Yellow Sport Combo/+Pro Spot;

    The trees in the back are more than 1km away.

    There must not be a LED 'on' light included in the BD switch. So it literally just opens/closes the circuit. Those two BD wires would connect to the Green and Red 1 on your Caliraised switch. Then you'll need to connect the black on the Caliraised switch to ground (if you want the internal switch lights to work).

    I'm glad you're not a potato. Post up the pictures to verify the online advice you're requesting is accurate.

    @Nunya Bizness is heavily involved with potatoes, I'm sure he could be our expert testimony for the TW jury.

    @Rome604 how do I get your BD referral code so you get points? Your words a while back convinced me to go get some WC S1s for ditch purposes.

    I thought you had an account or whatever already? I remember you talking about points for an XL80 or something.

    Only gonna use it if you declare me your best friend :D

    Anyone know how to wire a 10" S8 bar into the factory fog harness? Is there a way to do it plug n play?

    If you buy a female weatherpack connector, it will.

    The only function you'll lose is the amber back lighting. That's on a third wire and you would need to connect it to your DRL or a switch (or nothing if you don't care).

    You don't need a 20 pack...just one.

    What's your definition of plug and play? You won't be cutting any wires the first way I described, but you'll still need to have the knowledge of which wires go where. It won't be like plugging a light into an electrical socket and turning it on.
