Assuming you're mounting it in the bumper, 12 gauge will be fine. Then just hook the + and - right into the spod. I didn't bother with the 3rd wire.

Either they’re knock offs or that’s only for 1 light

shipped and sold by Amazon, sku# is for a pair. If they are fake or whatever then I’ll have amazon refund me, not a big deal and worth the gamble.

    price just went up:

Yeah. They have price flukes like that sometimes. I’ve gotten lucky a few times and gotten stuff 50-90% off. It’s luck and perfect timing I reckon.

Good for you if it works out, at that price it might not matter but companies like BD that sell at MAP pricing usually don’t honor warranty unless you’ve paid a certain price so this might not be the best place to post this...

I believe they honor the warranty as long as they were purchased new and you can provide a receipt proving such. I don’t think how much one paid makes a difference.

You think make a new male connector or just cut off the female Connector end and run positive and negative to the spod?

I didn’t touch the connector on the light itself. I just made a new connector that mated to it with only a + and -

The 20" Onx6+ takes up 16.6amps. The amperage and the overall length of the wire will determine what gauge wire you need. If you're wiring it to a front bumper, 14 gauge wire should work great. :)

The onx6 I bought used (old one, not plus version) and when I’m powering it up it’s working but making a light buzzing noise
Used 12ga wire to make the connector, but my crimp tool is shit.
Did I just make a shitty connector? Should I maybe just cut the weather connectors and use a butt connector? Also not currently leading the green wire (controller?) anywhere since I’m using the spod.

Noise is generally caused by low voltage (anything below 12v). Low voltage can be cause by improper gauge of wire, dirty or loose ground, bad connection, corrosion, etc. 12 gauge wire should be good. If you don't think your connection is 100% good, I would recommend doing it over. Butt connectors are safe to use, I would just make sure it's insulated well with heat shrink. Correct, green wire is not being used for this type of install. Did the noise happen with the engine off? If so, I would start the engine and see if it goes away. When the engine is running, it charges the battery producing more voltage from the alternator. It might just be on the borderline of 12v with the vehicle off.

BDforums will get you 10% off and $5 flat rate shipping from our retail store pricing. Unfortunately, we don't compete with our dealers.

In this video we demonstrate “uService” which is a feature we offer on our forward projecting light line of product. If you’re looking to change a pattern or color this is for you! Changing lenses is extremely easy to do and allows you to get the most out of your lights for dynamic situations!
