I say start with an onx6 and go from there. It’ll likely give you all the light you want then you can make a decision on ditch lights based on your needs after that.

An update - I had orderd the 10" light bar and was just second guessing the decision. I mounted it up and I can see the "limitation" (as slight as it may be) of the bar having no lateral adjustability. The light does a good job of getting out there, but I'd like more light "out there" (this is the 10" model I have) and slightly to the sides. The racers would probably get that light out there and to the sides, but I fear with the racers I'd lose some of the light I have mid field and I don't want to do that.

So, all that beng said the combo of the 10" bar on the bumper and Squadron pros on the A Pillar with the wide driving lenses have been a major upgrade as it is. I'm gonna use this setup for the winter and see how it goes. So far I've only tested it on my road and some other small roads none of which have been at high speed. I need more real use and time to make a final decison and dicern my needs. I have a suspicion that next year will bring the installation of some sort of Nudge bar and some Lp6's. Question then is 2 or 3 :). Maybe 2 driving combos and one spot, or would 2 driving combos get the job done? As of now I am happy to say I am very pleased with the BD lights performance, the setup, the customer service, and the lights themselves.

We appreciate the kind comments! Being informed and educated on the product is key to choosing the best package for each unique vehicle. Never hesitate to ask questions. More light never hurts! :D I run three LP6s all in driving/combo on my rig and I'm pretty happy with the amount of output. But like you said, try out your setup for awhile and then that will tell you what your needs are.

Rome604- I'm curious as to what made you go with all of the XL80s on the rack as opposed to some LP4's or 6's? Are those 20" ONX6's up front (one in the grill and one bumper)? What was the thought process and goal of your light selection if you don't mind me asking?

LP’s don’t belong on the roof. Anyone who tells you otherwise is going doing it for likes and/or views.

Why exactly is that? Due to the wide spread? What if they were in a spot configuration?

    See below.

But to give you a more complete answer.

I've got 4 XL80s (in driving combo) on the roof for near/mid field lighting. Then two XL Pros High Speed Spots for distance, then two XL lasers (and a 10" ONX6+ Racer Edition) for light speed distance.

That being said...my roof lights are ridiculous and no one "needs" this much light. I've got a 20" S8 in amber and a 20" ONX6+ in clear up front. The two of them together make a beautiful blend of amber and white light and are more light than most people need.

Then I've got two XL80s acting as ditch lights because I'm a jerk and sometimes people don't lower their high beams.

I don't own any LP lights... nothing against them but I don't have a bumper that I can use them on.

I just found this in an older post: "The 20" Hi-Power features 4 of our Racer Edition LEDs giving you more distance over a Pair of XL80s. The Hi-Power 20" is like having a Pair of XL80s and 1 XL Racer Edition all in one bar. You have the maximum coverage in near field, mid field, and distance. Having two or three individual lights does allow you to fine tune the aim and adjustment more so than a light bar."

If you were making the same comparison to the LP6 how would it differ?

But I like my truck...the only thing I might buy in the future is a couple of S1 lasers so I can put them on a swivel mount. I just haven't figured out a good spot for them yet

Yeah, I don't plan on getting much else, maybe a few sets of S1s for work lighting of sorts.

I wish Baja designs made an amber spot for the center 3 lights, not a fan of the amber cover lol30E1EC86-01C8-41BE-B699-2216138E4AE4.jpg

    Looks great!

I was just talking to @memario1214 and I believe you can swap in a Amber lens from the XL racers in the spot configuration....

    @memario1214 ?? Am I correct???

XL Racers only come in white...

Unfortunately no amber spot available in the XL size. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
