The lights are still 3"x3" but ours have a rounded edge instead of a squared edge. Our Squadron Series will fit, but you might have gaps at the corners.

I am about ready to install your squadron pro lights on my 2017 Tacoma, I have a bit of a wiring question. Is the CH4x4 Toyota (narrow) switch ok to use with your light? What amp draw are they? Just trying to figure out the wiring situation. Also is the generic harness you supply in the dual kits going to be long enough for ditch lights.

    Thank you.

Since you are using the Squadron Pros for ditch lights, I'd recommend this harness:
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/squadron-s2-wire-harness-2-lights-max-150-watts.asp

With the above harness you can use the included switch or an aftermarket setup. The Pair of Squadron Pros draw a total of 5.8A (2.9A each)

Is the body of the squadron ground through the negative wire? I have a situation where the light is powering on with only a power wire hooked up, no ground. I still ran the ground, but I’m curious why this would happen. Only thing I can think is that the light is grounding through the mount on my bumper.

Occasionally a light will experience this issue, where the light grounds through the housing. This mostly seems to come up with aftermarket bumpers and can be fixed fairly easily. Isolating the light from the mounting location will fix this issue. A couple of rubber washers will typically do the trick

Awesome. That sounds like what I have going on. I just wanted to double check that I knew what was happening. Thanks for the feedback. I’m thinking of just leaving it.

I can confirm that is exactly what happened with mine. I hooked my S2 Pros off a relay to activate with my reverse lights. Then I put a switched ground in so I can black them out if I don't want to blind the person behind me. It didn't work until I isolated the lights with rubber washers.

Any reason you didn’t just switch the positive instead?

I could have but my Whelen 8 function control module is sitting behind the rear fold down seat. To switch the positive it would have been about twice as much work running wires....it was a lot easier just sending the ground over. Now that being said, IF I had known the Baja lights ground through the housing I would have switched the positive.

IMG_2357.jpg Really liking these squadron sports I have the driving combo in both the fogs and as ditch lights. The fog kit and angled bezel made installation pretty simple. These things are super bright I can't even imagine what the pros are like

Are you gonna be at Expo West? We'll be out there. I think we are also going to be at Appalachian Toyota Round-Up and Expo East. Hopefully we'll see you at an event.
