Alright so I'm on up of a pretty big hill called blow sand in ocotillo wells... Hard to understand the perspective but you're seeing plants on the ground down there that are hundreds of yards away. And that little spec on the bottom is a Jeep...

Can I reiterate now how sick this product is?

Sorry about the confusion. Here is a list of our patterns for the Squadron Series. A few degrees change between the Squadron/S2/S8 and OnX6/XL Series:

    Forward Projecting Light -

    Spot:
A longer and narrower 9° beam focus for illumination further down the trail or road.
The Spot pattern is designed to be used in conjunction with additional Wide Driving and/or Driving/Combo beam lights. (Lighting Zone 4 & 5)

Wide Cornering: BD was the first to develop a pattern specifically for cornering, dust and/or fog conditions. The Wide Driving pattern offers a 42° flattened horizontal beam for the ultimate in comfort lighting. (Lighting Zones 1 & 2). NOTE: Wide Cornering provides very smooth near field lighting. This is not the same as our Work/Scene or "Flood" pattern.

Driving/Combo: Combination of the two patterns above providing maximum trail coverage in a single light. The Driving/Combo pattern is equipped with both wide cornering (42°) and Spot (9°) optics to provide you with a smooth blend of light for both near field applications and distance (Lighting Zone 3)

Reverse Lighting or Work/Area Lighting -

    Work/Scene (Formerly Flood):
Excellent work light or “scene light” with an extremely smooth 60° circle that projects about 60 ft.
This pattern is not suitable for driving. (Lighting Zone 7)

For anyone interested, here is a photo showing what one XL80 does. Jake's photo above is with the Pair on the hood:
