I say that because it’s stated in product description that even though it’s not DOT approved, it’s street friendly.

Wouldn't that be a contradiction? Maybe the OP can weigh in.
When I hear "Street Friendly", I think that it is legal. Maybe it's a marketing tactic? Gotta read the fine print these days.

None of Baja Designs lights are currently street-legal or DOT approved. Based on feedback and experience the Squadron Sport in Wide Cornering is street-friendly when used properly. We have many customers running this setup without issues which is why we mention this in the OP. Remember - It's 100% up to driver discretion when running these lights on the street.

I just installed the squadron sport foglights and was confused on the instructions with the foam. I couldn't find a decent post about the install so I will let people know what I did if they want to follow. I don't claim this is correct but it fits and doesn't move. Anyway, cut the foam to roughly the size of the ear tabs. Cut the foam width to about 1/4 of an inch. I took an old command hook tab (cut to the size of your foam) with double sided tape and secured the foam to the back of each ear tab. Probably any double sided tape would do. slide the ears in while pressing the foam down a little bit. Push in to where you want it and it should be secure and not move around. I would recommend to Baja Designs to just make a ear cover that fits to size and slides in the tabs. For the cost of the lights I would think they could include something better than random pieces of foam.

We appreciate your feedback. I'll pass it along so our team can look into updating the instructions again. Let us know how you like the lights!

[IMG] Is this the same grille mounting kit that is on your website? Meant to be used under the grille with the 30 inch s8 led bar? If not can you point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance! Love the look of the bar hidden behind the grille instead of below it out in plain view.

It's not our kit - ours goes In the lower grille opening on the bumper. I believe the above is an @SDHQ OFFROAD mounting kit.

    Wanna donate a 30" or 40" S8? :D
