Sweet! Though Virginia just changed the law where they don't need to be covered as long as they are not on.

I've got an inspection tomorrow and I'll find out if my mechanic got the memo.

If I plan on using the S1s as reverse lights, would you recommend using the Wide Cornering or the Work/Scene light?
I plan on having two, one on each side of the tailgate utilizing the CaliRaisedLED tailgate brackets.

Worst case scenario, throw some electrical tape over them for the inspection.

Yeah State law used to say it had to be a manufactured cover. Specifically said no tape, bags, etc. But we'll see! I've got an email from the State Troopers quoting the new law if they fail me.

Personally, I like to combine one of each. I like the smooth, even near-field lighting of the Work/Scene pattern, but also enjoy the farther reach of the Wide Cornering Pattern. Unless you have specific needs, this solution is my rec, due to the versatility.

That sounds like a really good idea. I would have a problem because I like to have things even from left to right. Maybe I'll do a double set, lol.

The patterns should blend relatively well, but I get where you are coming from...

I run two S2 Pros, with Driving/Combo reflectors in each, but customized a bit by installing a work/scene reflector behind the spot/non fluted half of the lens. In short, this gives me a Work/Scene pattern, and a Wide/Driving pattern in one light.

A pair of S2 Pros is a bit more costly than a pair of S1, but if you are looking at possibly four S1, then it is worth considering while on your quest for symmetry.

Edit: Purchasing the Work/Scene reflector separately is sort of a secret menu item. Anyone that wants to give this a go is welcome to PM me.

I have a set of the wide cornering and am considering the spots for the bike. I need to source some 25mm bar mounts though and a weatherproof switch

There are a lot of little ones, but most are out of necessity (custom connectors on moto kits, etc.) Most are customizations that our production team would be pretty annoyed to have me leak :). We do so much in house, that it is almost always doable to mix and match certain components that wouldn't otherwise be available off the shelf. Though, to be perfectly honest, we try to avoid them as they take time from regular orders.
