Anyone in need of the Baja Designs angled bezels? I ordered an extra pair by accident. Gonna send them back if no one wants them for close to purchase price. PM if interested.

Ok so I’ve been looking at getting the pros. I read through the thread and see that the pros are a no no for on the street. Is it because they are too bright and will blind other drivers. If so that bums me out. I mean brighter the better right? Also I was planning on the driving combo and not the wide cornering. Still not sure of the best option. I always run with fogs on unless the high beams are on. Any advise would be appreciated

I too am looking at getting Squadrons, and have debated between the Sport and Pro model.
From what I have gathered the Pro is WAY too much output for any on road driving...strictly off road use.
The Sport is "passable" for on road use if you get the wide cornering. The driving combo basically has wide cornering on the bottom and spots on top. Again, too much light for on road driving due to no cutoff with the top spots.
The Sport wide cornering is not DOT approved for on road use, but is "close enough" that most people have no issues with blinding other drivers or getting attention from the PD.
I personally am going to get the Sport wide cornering in yellow (all the reviews I have read said they work better than clear for fog, dust, snow etc). After that if I decide I need more light I may look at getting the Pro on ditch brackets.

Thanks for the advise! That is for sure helpful! Looks like I will be going for the sports with the wide cornering lens. It’s a plus that they are cheaper, more money for other goodies!

Also, a nice design feature of the Baja Design squadrons is that you can change the beam pattern by simply changing the lenses on the front (if you decide to move them to another location like ditch brackets).

    working on it!
I put my sport ambers in my Tacoma today. The lights are awesome but the install kit is disappointing. Came with a chunk of foam and vague directions of what to do with it. Also it seems a little heavy for one screw. For the price, I would have expected it to come ready to go with the right sized foam attached and more secure mounting. I see some have put in an additional screw. Has anyone had issues with just the one screw?

After finding the proper aim I removed the screws holding the brackets to the light and reinstalled them with loctite. Saw that the tabs were loose in the mount so I used the foam. Then drilled a hole and used a zip tie like others mentioned. Seems solid. Didn't have any issues during a wheeling trip last weekend.

Is the foam the best way to go for the 2 tabs or any other ideas? Mine are not exactly tight but I'm probably overthinking it. Gonna throw a zip tie below the screw.

I used the foam and then added a zip tie to the bottom bracket. No wiggle at all.

What foam are you talking about? Is that something you bought separately?

Getting ready to install my BD squadrons this weekend.

They give you a piece of foam in the kit to wedge between the 2 clips that mount in the OEM slots closest to the engine side. I agree as someone said it's not very clear in the instructions. Other than that the hardest part is getting the stock housing off, the side clip was a PITA.

@Baja Designs Any chance you are working on a High low switch for the Pros. I know some other companies have that feature. I'm sure everyone would purchase pros over sports if a switch would cut the output and let us get by for street use.:anonymous: Asking for a friend.

Awesome. Mine didn’t come with one. That’s why I was asking about this foam piece.

Yeah, the instructions are not very clear. Even the YouTube videos don’t show step by step on installing the fogs.

Thx for the replied back tho

BD is not acceptable for street use. It has nothing to do with high/low, it has everything to do with beam pattern. You need SAE J583 Fog pattern with sharp cut offs like Rigid, KC and Morimoto among many others. I’ve asked BD about making a J583 and they did not seem interested.

I understand the beam pattern but people are saying they don't get flashed with sport WC and pros are to bright so if they would come out with a switch that drops out 50% of the volts for pros they could be a multi purpose (not street legal) but do ok.

Rigid LED fog left, BD sport wide cornering right.

    40A55A58-5837-4D15-B63D-CB375887B745.jpg

They are nearly identical in output, what you see in this photo is solely due to beam pattern. No cut offs in BD and wide angle in every direction including vertical. Insane amounts of glare. People claim they don’t get flashed with LEDs in their reflectors too, doesn’t mean they are right, and plenty of people say they get flashed with wide corning sports too, for obvious reasons.

The foam is currently the best solution for reducing vibration at the mounting bracket. If fitment is too tight the foam can be trimmed down.

We aren't at this time but customers have the option to wire in a skene dimmer. This is 100% custom but has been done:
    https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/skene-motorcycle-dimmer.asp

It will give you a high/low output but would require custom wiring on your end.

I’ve got combo lenses on both the sports and the pros- there is no way you would drive at someone with either of those on..
