I've been lusting over that bar for a while. How is the glare off of your hood and windshield?

I would rather get $1500 worth of HID lights and mounting fabrication

I'm going to be getting this bar. Mostly for the Low profile design. I could put 4 HIDs on the roof and get close to the same lumen output, but they would be huge. my gas mileage is pretty bad already. :D

thats true, those LED light bars are great for keeping a low profile and saving weight

That thing puts out 15000 lumens too. 35W hid is about 3500. you would need 4+ HIds to equal the light output. If youre buying high quality HID offroad lights, youre going to be getting close to the price of this thing with just 4.

i build my own 50w 4300K lights that are hella cheap :D I just need to wait for a cab cage so I can mount some safely above my windshield and have the rack able to swivel up and down for maximum drag efficiency

That will be a nice setup. It is still 200W, big, and heavy though. Also, you can't set HIDs up to strobe to the music as the camp. I prefer the indestructible, lightweight, bounce free LED lights myself. I just wish the price would drop... or R.I. would get off their lazy asses and come up with a "stealth" equivalent that used SST90s at 10A. Sure it isn't as efficient, but at 1500 lumen/led... it would be like a supernova.

4 8" HID La Paz lights w/ the struts and hoop retails for around $2100 and puts out
12800 lumens, and the cops will writr u for no covers!
40" LED Stealth retails for $1299. and puts out 14000 lumens and is hard for the law to see! Plus it weighs very little and has almost 0 drag. I have both and the LED is my favorite.

Any chance we could talk you into taking a picture of both of them at night? Im trying to decide between a baja design 20" light bar or two baja design prerunner 6" or la paz 8" HIDs. I'd really appreciate your input or any night light photos you we can talk you into sharing!:) Love the truck!
