TW random banter and tangents will always have a special place in my heart. And I understand the practice of telling people their ideas are stupid, I too share that guilty pleasure occasionally.

It seems like the same 5 people beating their chests on threads when it comes to trashing the Baja's suspension. That's fine. "Dude, you can get a much better setup for the money" seems to be the recurring theme. I can agree that the full $4K that you would spend on the Baja option will get you very far with a custom setup. I'm not talking about spending the full $4K. All I'm interested in is the suspension. I like the idea of an OEM upgrade. I couldn't give two sh!ts about why that doesn't suit you, I'm looking out for yours truly.

Also, searching for "Baja Vibrations" on this site yields nothing, unless you count curious speculation.

If you are only interested in the suspension.. again like was previously stated.. unless you buy the baja, its not an OEM upgrade its aftermarket..

What's the spring rate on the OME springs? How does that compare to the Eibach 3" coils that come on the Baja?

Why don't you bother posting up facts instead of assumptions?

Sure it probably won't do well with an additional 200# on the front, but it wasn't designed for it either.

    Quoting a random mechanic friend...:deadhorse:

    This thread is going nowhere.

Tech Tidbit:The 3-inch-diameter front coil springs are manufactured by Eibach for TRD. They are off-the-shelf race units rated at 650 lb/in. That's slightly softer than the stock springs.

    OME-886 18mm x 100mm/115mm x 402mm - 12.5 coils - x.xkg - 660lb/in (+2.25" +14%) -- "Heavy"

Original Poster I have a stock baja set up on my truck. How much are you willing to pay for it? I will take it off my truck and get myself a better aftermarket setup.

Stock coils are around 540 so that tech tidbit from popular mechanics is way off. If the Baja coils are 650 #/in then they are significantly stiffer than stock.

Just posted what I read, I was thinking that had to be wrong considering 650 is enough for a plate bumper.

I have a stock baja and just put this bumper on. 110 Lbs plus a VR10,000, 20" LED bar and fog lights. Still sits great. I'll measure tomorrow to see how much height I lost.

I don't want to turn my truck into a baja truck, I just wanted to know the part number cause I was just courious how much the parts would cost me at my cost and cause I was thinking about getting the TRD emblem that they come with. I didn't think the thread was going to turn into this but it's interesting now with all the posts.

Wait a minute! You can't have a bumper and a winch on baja suspension!

You must install the old man emu 886x coils because anything less is inferior and will not work!

This truck must be photoshopped because my cousin's friend's next door neighbor said you can't do this.

    (Nice truck! )

Simple reason bumper and winch is not sagging.

Now we know why they added the badge on the tailgate. Weight offset.
