    Hey guys,
I had 5100's on my truck, got some baja front shocks and springs off of here and am having an issue w/the install.
I assembled it, put the coil over the shock then put the washer down on the shock rod that the rubber bump contacts, add the strut mount unit, then the additional washer that contacts the upper rubber bumper and then the nut. When the nut is fully tightened it bottoms out on the shock rod prior to tightening the bushings so the lower washer is still loose and there's a good 1/4-3/8" play. Is this because I'm not using the dust boots?
Hard to explain but here are pics

Depending on where I put a spacer/washers it will affect the preload on the spring so I want to be sure I do it right.
Does anyone have one of the shock dust boots laying around and could tell me if it has a spacer in the top of it to take up this space?

I had the dealer install my baja kit -so I cant help you out...however was told toyota dealer has access to an electronic install manual that we cant get a hold of....so -if you are friendly with the service mgr or one of the techs at your local dealership maybe they can print out a diagram for you or something...
