    A month after the above post, we went to Mission Santa Maria, again.. and HB Murphy joined us. There is a separate trip report here on TW... lot's of photos and video clips.     So a stock 4x4 Tacoma could make it through all that? Mine is just the base model

    Well, Paul and I each had Off Road TRDs and made it through all parts of that run with ease. Paul also had a front locker added to his. However, I just used the A-TRAC, stock tires, and it was fun.

    I did it twice before (2003, 2007) with the rear locker (before A-TRAC was available)... but the bog was either shallow or not more than damp mud. 2010 was the last wet winter we had before this one.

    In comparison to before, climbing the Widowmaker was easier with A-TRAC than with the rear locker.
