Baja Utility Rack Info

    Just finished mounting a Baja Rack flat rack on my 2015 DCSB OR Tacoma. As others have noted the metal strip down the center of the rubber weather channel was a PITA. I used a drill press to drill the required holes and the metal strip still skewed the bit off center due to the soft rubber. I used butyl rubber sealant around the factory bolt holes (where the factory tape strips were removed) and placed the supplied spacers on top of the beads of butyl rubber. I also applied RTV silicon to the bolt threads per the instructions. The rack and mounts appear very stout so now we’ll see how it does in every day use.
