    Hello,

All of you with bakflip covers, how do you tie down your loads since the cover uses the whole rails system? Any good ideas? maybe another set of rails or more d rings?

Have the same issue. I use the D-rings with the front cleats. I think there's a member that did D-rings mod to the side rails.

I didnt know you could still use the front cleats. I thought the bak flip used the front rail too. Should be getting mine any day now.

nope the front rail is free and the cleats still fit. i use that and also did the D-ring mod to my front and middle bed bolts which are way more secure for heavier loads. also when you put your bakflip rails over the bed side rails, there are 3 screws you use. when its all said and done, those screws stick out a bit and i just put a D-ring on each of those. so its like i have my side rails back. so that is 6 D-rings total (3 on each side) to use in place of the cleats. add those with the 4 bed bolt D-rings and the 2 factory D-rings by the tailgate and the 4 original cleats moved to the front rail = you have 16 points anchor some ties to secure a load.

    T,

Any pics of the D rings and those screws you speak of? I just installed my bakflip HD over the weekend. I also just ordered 5 D rings for the bed, maybe I should have ordered a couple more to mount to the rails? anyway I am likin the bakflip, I hope it adds 1mpg

Didn't take the pics before the Bakflip rails when on, but you can see the D-rings here.

Here it is. Mine is kind of like how Bookmonke has his but mine are over the bakflip rail as opposed to under it. I did that because i felt if i put it over the bakflip rail, the rail would be more flush and level with the factory bed rail than if i were to put the drings under it.
