Ok so I just put in the bakflip. I also want to have a single ladder rack on my bed but I don't see anyway possible to mount it with the bakflip.

Here's my master plan, I want a single roof rack and one ladder rack on my bed. The picture shows something similar to what I want but I don't need 2 racks on my bed just one.

The only possible way I can think of mounting this is by mounting it to the bed side rail with a flat mount rather then the angle mount beside the bakflip rail mount. This would create some concerns about strength.

What u guys think? Am I dreaming?

Hey man. You're not dreaming. I just signed up with tacomaworld just now to see if there was any interest in a single sided ladder rack. We manufacture them for other trucks, but since the tacoma bed is made of composite material we were hoping maybe we can mount our system on the bed tracks. What do you think?

Not gonna work. The backflip blocks accesses to the rails. Need a mount to work flat on the bed sides.

i put a backrack safety rack on and my plan was to get a single ladder rack similar to your idea with the roof rack. backrack makes a bar that goes across the tailgate now but dont fit the tacoma. so im gonna get one fabricated to fit the rails until someone sells one rack or a real cheap set on cl. like you, in my mind it seems like a great idea, but aint seen anyone do it yet.
