Pros - 1) aluminum skin, so no chance of bubbling, 2) cover folds up against back window to allow full bed access, 3) still allows use of Tacoma bed rails, 4) cover can be partially opened, 5) approx. $70 cheaper than MX4. 5) tailgate can be closed with cover up or down

Cons - 1) Tacoma bed rails must move down several inches, 2) rear view is blocked when cover folded against rear window, 2) no Bak box option for Tacoma - either 5' or 6' bed, 3) not as strong as MX4 (300 lb. vs 400 lb. weight rating) 4) 2 yr warranty vs 3 yr on MX4

Thank you as well for posting this. Could explain moving the bed rails down several inches? The cover won't fit unless you move the bed rails down? thanks

The mounting rails for the cover replace the Tacoma bed rails. The new cover mounting rails have add-on mounts to attach the Tacoma bed rails to. They are relocated about 2"-3" lower than the original factory mount. Watch this video:

That's interesting, I did not install it myself but I'm sure that they used my bedrails to install the fibermax, never thought of actually checking haha I will definitely look into it now, they better not have taken the stock rails off without giving them to me.

The FiberMax may install right on to the Tacoma rails with brackets. Not sure.

Just checked and they did indeed use the stock rails for the install. the G2 and the fibermax are virtually identical so I'm surprised they wouldn't utilise the same install method
