I was wondering if anybody had experience with the Bakflip cover and a bed extension. I have an aftermarket bed extension sitting in the garage ready to go in but I also have the Bakflip cover coming next week. Will the cover Cairo with the extension? I’d much rather have the cover than the extension but I kinda need it for groceries and what now since the back of the truck is full of car seats. Also, I’m open to any suggestions or products on what might work just as well as the bed extension, I mostly need it for the inner bed storage rather than the actual extension of the bed. Thanks!

I have a Bakflip G2 which is basically the same as your MX4 except for a textured finish on the outside. I don't have a bed extender, but keep in mind your MX4 will drop the position of your bed rails lower than the OEM position, so that may or may not affect your bed extender. I solved my grocery hauling issue with a cheapo cargo net from Amazon, and it's worked great for over a year. Attaches to the OEM cleats on the bed rail and it works fine with the lower rail position.

I’ve been looking at that cargo net. I think it would work well for groceries and other smaller lighter items but I’m thinking the tails on the bed extension would be what I need to keep heavier things like a Milwaukee pack out case from sliding towards the front.

I also have one of these to keep stuff up in the back of the bed from sliding forward. Maybe this would work for you...
